Text: These resources include an overview of overt participant observation based around Venkatesh's "Gang Leader for a Day" study and an activity requiring students to complete and analyse a self-report questionnaire.

Audio: These resources include an outline of the advantages and disadvantages of survey research plus an examination of the ethical issues involved in some forms of sociological research.

Video: In this resource Simon Winlow talks about his research methodology in relation to crime and the night-time economy.
