| The production of A-level Sociology resource material is not just the preserve of large, corporate, companies. Although the market is dominated by such publishers, there's still plenty of space left for smaller companies who are able to specialise in relatively low-volume production, high-quality, materials. This section, therefore, features a range of resource materials currently produced by some of the smaller UK Publishers, the main aim being to bring to the attention of Sociology teachers and students the kinds of resources available outside the high-volume production processes of larger Publishing companies. | |
| Each "Publisher
Section" listed below features an address, telephone
/ fax no. (for orders / enquires) as well as an e-mail address for
enquiries. If the publisher has a Web Site, it's URL will also be
printed. The Sample Pages
provided for on-line viewing are in HTML format to enable quick and easy
on-line viewing. Because of the format limitations of HTML the pages
you see are not representative of the published product
in terms of design and layout. They are provided simply to give you an
idea about the content of each publication. |
Please note the following: Although many small publishers have their own web sites they are rarely (if ever) geared-up for e-commerce, which means you're unlikely to be able to order materials on-line. You should, therefore, be prepared to note 'phone numbers / addresses through which materials can be ordered. This section is provided as a service for publishers, teachers and students. These are not "paid advertising" and no money whatsoever has changed hands (which, from my point-of-view, is a bit of a shame, really). |
| If you decide to make further enquiries / order materials, I would be grateful if you could mention Sociology Central as the source of your initial interest. | |
