Actively Involved This is a relatively simple, but nonetheless important point to make since the ability of the child to socialise their parent(s) is something that's often overlooked when thinking about the socialisation process. For example, children do not always obey their parents and even at an early age, conflicts occur (the wishes of parents, relatives and friends do not always coincide, for example). Thus, it needs to be remembered that even while the child is learning how to adapt to their environment they are changing the way the people around them behave, in a variety of different ways. |
