| OverHead Transparencies |
At
first glance it might seem a bit strange to be offering
distinctly low-tech material (based around the ageing concept of
an OverHead Projector) on a web site. However, since it's
a good bet that, like me, your classroom is not over-burdened
with computers, digital projectors or electronic whiteboards, the
OHP will probably remain a staple teaching tool for the
foreseeable future...Hence this section, which is devoted to all things plastic, see-through and informative (although not necessarily in that order, or, indeed, not necessarily). The aim of this section is to distribute "high-quality" (it's just an aim...) OHT-based material that covers everything from Course Induction to sociological concepts, theories and processes. Please Note: To download an OHT, please click on the appropriate title. Once downloaded, you will need Word 2000 (or a word processor that can handle this type of file) in order to display the OHT's in all their gaudy glory. It's possible that some of the OHT's will work with versions of Word 97. It should go without saying, but since you cannot actually download plastic film / acetates, you will need to either print the OHT's onto acetate film (most modern inkjets, for example, have this facility) or you will need to photocopy the printed OHT onto acetate. With the former method you will retain the very colourful appearance of the OHT's; with the latter method you will just get bog-standard black and white copies (unless, of course, your workplace has colour reproduction facilities). |
