Millionaire
 |
This
simple online game is a multiple-choice quiz that follows the basic format of
the popular "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" TV programme that everyone in the
UK knows about and once loved (probably). Answer 15 questions in a row correctly
and win a million (credits rather than pounds, unfortunately). It's not hugely
sophisticated (just play around with it for a few minutes and you'll soon be
familiar with it) and allowance has to be made for the fact that some features
of the format have had to be simplified - "'Phone a Friend" just gives you extra
time and "Ask the Audience" merely allows you to skip a question without penalty
- but the "50-50" option is present and correct. When all's said and done it
might be a useful way of slipping in a 10 minute revision session at the end of
a long lesson on a wet Friday afternoon...

The first module in a new series of Interactive Revision Units mixes text,
graphics, video and sound to create an "Interactive Learning Experience" (which
in English means you can "click things", randomly or otherwise) to enhance your
overall AS Sociology studies. This particular (experimental) module is designed
around Culture and Identity and focuses specifically on Concepts of Culture. |
