Exam
The Main Key Skills have an exam component that varies in both scope and form depending on the type and level of Key Skill being examined.
An IT Level 2 exam, for example, lasts for one hour and consists of 40 multiple-choice "pencil-and-paper" questions (and yes, I'm more than aware of the ludicrous statement I've just made...).
Communication Level 3, on the other hand, consists of a 90 minute comprehension paper involving short-answer and essay-type questions.
Students may be APL'd (given credit for their prior learning for those who aren't up-to-speed with their educational TLA's - don't ask...) for some Key Skills at different levels (see the Proxy / Exemption section on the main menu for more specific details).
