The definition of income used for this survey doesn't include:

  • Social Fund, maternity, funeral or community care grants
     
  • Social Fund loan repayments (since these are deducted from income)
     
  • Maintenance and child support payments
     
  • Top up loans for students;
     
  • Parental contributions to student incomes.
