Sociology and Commonsense

One of the things about AS Sociology is that students often start their course with the misconception that sociology is, basically, just the stuff "everybody knows" dressed-up with long words and complicated sentence structures. In other words, sociology is basically "commonsense" and, if you've got your head screwed on the right way it's an easy subject to pass.

While this may or may not be the case, this short module - snappily entitled "Facts and Fictions" - is designed to show how "everyday knowledge and understanding" - the things, in short that "everybody knows" - are not always true...
